What is Community Supported Agriculture?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) provides a direct link and relationship between people and the product they consume, the land it grows on, and the farmers who grow it. Bellaire Blooms CSA members will receive a weekly “share”, via a bouquet, of the season’s harvest from the beginning of June through the end of October. CSA is a great way to get to know your farmer, learn about how your flowers are grown, and establish community. Your support helps us continue to grow and provide you with beautiful flowers.
Benefits of CSA
Keeping dollars in the local economy
Knowing where and how your flowers are grown
Providing a stable market for our farm
Connecting the seasons through locally grown blooms
Encouraging respect for the environment
Our CSA Program
Brighten your home, or your loved one's heart, with a weekly bouquet of locally grown seasonally available blooms all spring and summer long. One subscription buys you 22 weeks of fresh flowers. New this year is a 12 week share that provides a bouquets every other week. Members will receive their initial bouquet during the first week of June 2016 and and each Wednesday or Saturday thereafter through the end of October. Pick up is 5:30 to 7:30 pm at West Sixth Brewery every Wednesday or on Saturdays at the Lexington Farmers Market. The cost of a full share is $295 and a half share $165 (tax not included). Click the link below to buy your share of the bouquet CSA program and support your local flower farmers.
If you become a Bouquet Share-holder then we will see you on Wednesday evenings for brews and blooms at West Sixth Brewery on the Bellaire side of the block. Our CSA pick up also corresponds with yoga night! We have a table set up right outside, to pick up your CSA or buy some stems for your home. Leave with your arms full of bouquets, beer and positive energy (In case of rain you will find us inside the tap room). Of course you can also choose to pick up your bouquet on Saturdays at market but there is far less craft beer and free yoga to be had :)
